Royal Rap

Greeting subjects I'm queen Lizzy
cant chat for long as Cameron
keep me busy
i stay at home i like to butter crumpets
when i come to the theatre i expect the trumpets
i hang with the commoners joke don't
be silly
the next king is gonna be my
grandson willy
yes i am the monarchy they love the most
come to England I'm a gracious host
As a queen paupers know that I'm the best
check out my crown and my double D breast
if I'm down at the track and i see
my horse get shredded
i find the winning Jockey and have his wife beheaded
i don't collect stamps theyre just shots of me i can print
my own money at the mint
for free
i say british labour is what keeps us strong
but check my kitchen staff theyre
all mexican
before i go to bed i enjoy a cup of tea
but im up every hour as it makes me need a wee
this is the end cant spit for long
im off to rock phillip in my hot pink thong.

MANAGE:

We have encountered problems with synchronisation for our finished backing track combined with the effects and lyrics leaving the question of whether or not will be ready to demonstrate our product today however we will be attempting to resolve these issues before todays lecture taking place this afternoon.

Proposal:
Title or working title of project
The Royal Rap
Project objectives
To create an original piece of music with humorous lyircs and a catchy soundtrack.
If it is a group project, what will your responsibilities be?
My responsibilities within the group is to create the soundtrack and edit the entire product then export the final project.

Section Two: Reasons for choosing this project
Reasons for choosing the project (eg, links to other subjects you are studying, personal interest, future plans, knowledge/skills you want to improve, why the topic is important):
Our reason for choosing this objective for the project is that we are both musically creative and have the same sense of humor, resulting in us wanting to make a parody style song.

Section Three: Activities and timescales
Activities to be carried out during the project (eg, research, analysis, writing, preparing for the presentation, etc):
Researching into other parody makers and song styles.
Practising with Zac and creating the lyrics and soundtrack.
Editing the entire production
Exporting and uploading the final product
How long this will take:
 2 months
 3 months
1 month
1 month

Section Four: Resources
What resources will you need for your research, write up and presentation (eg, libraries, books, journals, equipment):
To research we will use YouTube and online articles to look up parody song makers. For the presentation we will put together all of our production's work and create an informative presentation.

The final decision for what we are doing for the extended project is called the Royal Rap.

We're managing our use of time by working together with our ideas, contributing different creative musical attributes towards this project. We're going to finish off each piece, him with the lyrics and myself with the soundtrack to go with it. On Friday the 16th we will go and rehearse the entire thing together, fine tuning each part of the soundtrack if we are unhappy with it at any stage and making the lyrics fit nicely with it, again altering any parts of the lyrics if they don't quite sound right. Once everything is in order we will be ready to present on Tuesday the 20th.

we have reverted back to our original idea in this late of a stage, and have decided to roll with the plan of creating an original piece of music, him writing the lyrics and me producing the soundtrack. We will have this entirely done for next week's performance on Tuesday 20th of March.

USE OF RESOURCES:

For the Royal Rap we will use a ZOOM H2 to recod Zac's lyrics as a basis to look back on and improvise. For the soundtrack I will use Acid Xpress 7, a musical program for creating songs with tracks from EMI. On Friday the 16th we will combine the two and playback, then do some editing to the soundtrack if need be and change some lyrics if need be. We will have the project ready for Tuesday the 20th.

We looked at other comical original songs and decided to run with a fast paced type of lyrical

Chords: A,D,E
Repeat rhythm throughout the entire song.

Intro (strummed slowly):
A           E                       D                      E
I came down to the breakfast table, felt like I could die
A             E               D                      E
Tried so hard but wasn't able to look you in the eye
A                E                  D                       E
For I am feeling so much shame, yes I have brought disgrace
A                    E                   D                   E
Can tell I've soiled my good name by the look upon your face

A                  E          D         E
Well it seems last night, you caught me spankin' it
A      E           D            E
No use denyin' it, I was really crankin' it
A        E           D     E
Dry your eyes, don't be so sad,
A                             N/C
If you could just forgive me, and talk to me dad

A                 E           D               E
I didn't hear you enter, no I didn't hear the door
A                    E             D              E
With my hand upon my member and my pants upon the floor
A                   E           D         E
Now burnt into your brain is an image you despise
A                    E                 D               E    E
Like blood and guts, starving kids and Stevie Wonder's eyes

A                  E          D         E
Well it seems last night, you caught me spankin' it
A      E           D            E
No use denyin' it, I was really crankin' it
A        E           D     E
Dry your eyes, don't be so sad,
A                                 N/C
But I wouldn't use those tissues- they've already been had

The look upon your face made my swollen gland diminish
so I said "could you close the door, I really want to finish"
Now daddy, I'm ashamed and I completely understand
If you never want to hug again or even shake my hand

Well it seems last night you caught me spankin' it
No use denyin' it, I was really crankin' it
Dry your eyes, don't be so sad
Just because it was your bed- it's not that bad

When I was only seventeen, you told me it was dirty
So it must be really creepy when your kid is pushing thirty
But you cannot tell me dad, that you never had a whack
At the thing that hangs below your belt and bumps into your sack

Well it seems last night you caught me spankin' it
No use denyin' it, I was really crankin' it
Dry your eyes, don't be so sad
A                                 N/C
But I wouldn't use those tissues- they've already been-
A                             N/C
Just because it was your bed- it's not that-
A                               N/C
Daddy, daddy please forgive me, and talk to me dad

(End on chord A)

She's got a smile, oh she's got a smile
E          A                 D      B
And she's flashing it right at me

She's got a wink, a wink across the bar
and I know that's meant to be.
She's got a walk, oh she's walking over
and I think this could be my day.
She's got a ... friend, oh she's a got a friend
Why she standing in her way?
Its a big fat friend...

To spoil my f**king fun.

Now baby baby baby if its boots you want to knock
Leave your chubby friend at home because she's gonna
block the c**k
Now I'm afraid of no man, with any I'll contend,
E                  B
But I cannot compete with your big fat friend

Back to Finger Picking Intro:

So big fat friend, ah we meet again,
You won't leave her alone
you roll your eyes, make sarcastic comments
while you're sucking on a chicken bone

Strum Intro Chords:

But that's okay, you think you won the battle but I tend to disagree
See I know you, and your Achilles' Heel and he's standing next to me
My non-discriminating friend...

Back to Chorus:

So what that you're a cow (non discriminating friend)
I'll nail you any how. {Hold B}
I know that he's no looker and he's had a couple rounds
But for every shot of Jeger hey you lose a couple pounds. {Hold B}

Now baby baby baby bring the evening to an end
E                        B
Just you and me and my pal and your Big Fat Friend

When I was a boy of 10, I had a very special friend
Ed was kind, with good intent
But just a little different

Oh, special Ed
his Mama mama dropped him dropped him on his head
Now he's not so bright instead
He's a little bit special
Just a little bit... special

We'd play tag, and he'd get hurt
I'd play soldier, he'd eat dirt
I liked maths, and the spelling bee
Ed liked talking to a tree

Oh, special Ed
his Mama mama dropped him dropped him on his head
Now she keeps him (where?) in the shed
Cause he's a little bit special
Just a little bit... special

I ran track, hung out in malls
Ed ran headfirst into walls
I had girls and lots of clothes
Ed had names for all his toes

Oh, special Ed
his Mama mama dropped him dropped him on his head
Now he thinks he's a piece of bread
Cause he's a little bit special
Just a little bit... special

I thought college life was great
Ed could count from one to two
I liked people and the party scene
Ed was scared of the vacumcleaner

Oh, special Ed
his Mama mama dropped him dropped him on his head
Now he thinks he thinks he can drive his bed
Cause he's a little bit special
Just a little bit...

one day talking to special Ed
He grabbed a brick and he swung at my head
And as he laughed at me thats when I knew
That special Ed just made me special too

Now I laugh as I count bugs
I give strangers great big hugs
Next to me Ed is fine
Yeah he's a f---ing Einstein

Oh, Special Ed (and me)
Now we're not right in the head (you see)
Now we're not so bright instead
We're a little bit special
Just a little bit special
That f---er Ed made me special
Just a little bit
Just a little bit ... special
